I think Richie Sambora is underrated as a guitarist.He really excels in his solos.I have always loved Bon Jovi solos because Richie uses a generous amount of hamonics and they always sound awesome.He has made a really distinct sound for himself.
In my heart he's one of the better rock guitarist of our generation-and certainly an amazing musician.One need only listen to his two solo albums to know how talented he is,while being in Bon Jovi's spotlight may seem to dim the bringhtness of his star,it also gives him an opportunities to shine before millions more fans than would ever see him if he performed solo.I think is a win-win.
